The Resilience Project

It’s not so easy to feel safe and in your place in an increasingly turbulent world. With the Resilience Project, the Career Service draws attention to the existence of steps and methods for dealing well with challenges and crises. We do this with workshops, trainings, individual advice and a network of partners.

We are currently focusing on three steps:

Awareness

The first step is to become aware that the topic of resilience is important and that there are ways and methods to become more resilient.

Get into action

Especially in difficult situations, it is important to move from a passive role of enduring and suffering to an active role of taking action. Our workshops and training sessions help you to find individually effective methods through exercises and by creating a space for experience.

Anchoring yourself

The basis for sustainable resilience is anchoring oneself in a stable social environment. With the Resilience Project, the Career Service identifies opportunities for anchoring. We make networks visible and accessible. We do this inside and outside the university. Life paths are diverse and so are the perspectives that the university can develop and unfold.

The resilience project is a living project. It is in constant development. We welcome every request and every contribution.

While preparing the podcast about resilience, I found this postcard on my desk: vacation greetings. And I asked myself what constitutes a real home, a place where you feel at ease? We look forward to your ideas and thoughts. Just send an email to marcellus.menke@uni-siegen.de. We’ll reply to every mail.
