… is what we want to say to the 133 people who took part in our survey „Career and Future Prospects“. We wanted to find out more about skills and wishes and what we can do that our service will help international students to make a good start with their careers.
Our short list of questions started with self-assessment. The question „What are you particularly good at?“ was answered most often. Perhaps this is an indication of a high level of awareness of one’s own skills. Exactly what we want to strengthen further.
The most frequently mentioned answer to the question about skills was: „Languages“. At the same time, according to most of the participants, language, in this case German, is also the most important criterion for successfully entering the German job market. And as German is said to be a difficult language, language can also be a hurdle. We will have to work on that.
The participants in the survey rate their academic and technical skills highly and, according to the results of an initial analysis, would particularly like support with time planning and time management.
Good time management is something we at the Career Service also will need when we launch our skills development workshops in November. We promise to do our best.
A good blog should always be ahead of its time. Sometimes it publishes something that is actually not yet released for publication. Here our Career Leak, a clip of Version 3 of the current planning file:
